According to information from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), emergency teams responded to an accident involving a single boat in this aquatic area.

Details of the incident

Local authorities confirmed that seven people were on board the hovercraft when the accident occurred. The group was heading toward the Kissimmee River from the Istokpoga Canal. As they approached the river, the vessel entered a section of deeper water and began taking on water.

The situation worsened rapidly until the hovercapsized completely, causing passengers to fall into the water. Of the seven people involved, four managed to reach shore safely. Immediately after the capsizing, an urgent search was launched to locate the remaining three passengers.
