In addition to the Oct. 5 registration cutoff, voters should note that requests for vote-by-mail ballots must be submitted by October 22 at 5 p.m. These mail-in ballots must then be received by election officials no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
Early voting is another option available statewide from Oct. 24 through Oct. 31, though some counties may offer additional days leading up to the November 3 general vote.
