Malachi Ethan Keasler, 26, was arrested on Saturday by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for grand theft, possession of another person’s identification, and scheme to defraud.

### Allegations at Cheeca Lodge & Spa

The arrest stems from a series of unauthorized transactions reported at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada. According to law enforcement details, Keasler is accused of charging more than $2,400 in hotel services and goods—including drinks, food, shirts, hats, and other sundries—to a room belonging to someone else without their knowledge or consent.

This incident follows a similar security breach at the same resort last year. During that previous event, deputies were called after a guest noticed nearly $900 in unauthorized splurges on her bill. Resort security subsequently discovered additional illegal charges, leading the hotel to issue reimbursements totaling approximately $2,419 for affected guests.

Keasler is not the only individual facing legal consequences in this ongoing case.
